The Comedy Grind
Established in February 2010, The Comedy Grind was created to provide Saskatchewan based comedic talent with another stage from which to perform. With over 25 years of experience and deep roots in stand-up, sketch and improv, The Comedy Grind has quickly garnered a reputation as 'the' funny spot in the Queen City. Our goal at The Grind is simple...to make you laugh. Whether it be at the live show or through our website, we aim to please.
"Work a little. Play a lot. Laugh all the time."

In fact, Smith won Saskatchewan’s funniest amateur comedian in 2007 and went on to perform at the Canadian Comedy Awards in 2008, where he shared the stage with elite Canadian talent, such as Jeremy Hotz and Sean Cullen. His influences include Louis C.K. and Chris Rock, and he has been favourably compared to legends such as Mitch Hedberg and Steven Wright.

Dan Yates
Dan Yates' rise to prominence in the Regina comedy scene was quick and simple. He showed up one week and kept coming back, becoming a Comedy Grind regular in the process. Drawing upon his years of isolation, spent in his parents' basement watching reruns of Saturday Night Live, Dan has entertained audiences from Dewdney Avenue to 8th Avenue by melding pop culture references with his "unique" brand of self-defecating self-deprecating humour. He looks forward to your laughter and kinship.
